Use
Tacrolimus is used with other medications to prevent rejection of a kidney, heart, or liver transplant. It works by weakening your body's defense system (immune system) to help your body accept the new organ.
Common Side Effect
Diarrhea, Liver damage, Nausea, Stomach pain, Increased glucose level in blood, Increased thirst, Kidney damage.
Precaution
It may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. It may be unsafe to use during pregnancy & probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding.

Bioavailability - 24% (5–67%), less after eating food rich in fat
Elimination Half Life - 11.3 h for transplant patients (range 3.5–40.6 h)
