Use
Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication used to treat Vaginal yeast infections, Oral thrush, Diaper rash and types of ringworm including Athlete's foot and Jock itch.
Common Side Effect
When taken by mouth include Nausea and Itchiness, When applied to the skin common side effects include redness and burning.
Precaution
Clotrimazole should be used for the full prescribed course even when the symptoms get better. The infection may recur and the fungi may get less sensitive to the medicine resulting in drug resistance. If it is not used for the full prescribed course.
