Use
Its used in the treatment of cholestatic liver diseases, alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver. The drug reduces cholesterol absorption and is used to dissolve (cholesterol) gallstones in patients who want an alternative to surgery.

Precaution
Precaution should be taken by patients with peptic ulcer or inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver disease.
