Use
Linagliptin is used in the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus Type-2.
Common Side Effect
Hypoglycaemia (low Blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea, Headache, Nasopharyngitis (swelling of the Nasal passages and the back of the Throat)
Precaution
Stop taking Linagliptin and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as :
Severe pain in your Upper Stomach spreading to your back, Nausea and Vomiting, loss of Appetite, fast Heart Rate, fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash.

Use

Includes gastrointestinal irritation, diarrhea, cramps, nausea, vomiting, increased flatulence; metformin is more commonly associated with gastrointestinal side effects than most other antidiabetic drugs.
Precaution
It should not be used in those with significant liver disease or kidney problems.
