Dr Mansoor Hasan is a leading Cardiologist who did his Post graduate training in Cardiology in UK at London Chest and St Bartholomews Hospital. He established the foundations of the department of Cardiology at KGMC on which a comprehensive cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic service was made functional and a superspeciality DM Cardiology program was started. He was awarded the Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians of London and Edinburgh .He retired from his services at KGMC, Lucknow but continued being intimately involved in clinical cardiology besides continuing to have a keen interest and ability to be aware of the recent advances occurring in this rapidly advancing field.
His keen interest in Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiology is evident from his intimate involvement in various social and outreach programs. He has recently been awarded the PADMASHREE by the President of India for his services to the development of Cardiology.
